Hello and New 16800!
Hello everyone. I'm a regular on TRF normally, hope they get well soon. I've signed up here to show you all newest acquisition! Just picked this baby up today. Keeps good time so far. The only problem is the crown. Unscrewed it pops out to the manual wind position, then if I pull it out one click it still seems to wind instead of changing the date...Am I right in thinking this is what it should do........

Finally, number four is this beautiful ~1940 Sentinel, with a butler finished roman numeral dial that is an older quality refinish $140 - this watch features a 17J 987S movement. The case is excellent with minor wear and a couple of tiny dings. Crystal is acrylic and new. Comes presented on a long leather band in brown. Okay, so certain TV vendors love to tout the weight of a watch - and one company goes so far as to engrave the gram weight on the case of it's stainless steel pieces.What's the deal with this?Personally, I grow very, very tired of having a heavy watch on my wrist. It's always a relief when I switch to a lighter - and usually thinner - timepiece. Of course, I have relatively slim and small wrists. ........
